We had it all planned - checked for events - choose a later time in the evening to grab that perfect light and amazing weather - choosing a date in June (the only month the roses are actually in full bloom) and I even got there early to scope the place out since I had never been to the Raleigh Rose Garden.

What could go wrong?

Well who knew that it was going to be 82% humidity !!! As a relatively "new" photographer - every shoot is a new discovery - finding new angles, new setups, new couples, but it's always a great opportunity for learning. My lens was sweating just as bad as we were (not that you can tell in those amazing photos!) and I had to power through and find as many angles as quick as possible.

We only lasted 30 minutes in that heat but I think it was worth it! I am glad I got to know these two a little better and I can't wait for their ceremony in November.
