No Title - Durham Portrait Photographer
This week I decided to sign up for my first photography workshop. I didn't really know what to expect. I had been eyeing the Photo Rehab workshop in the mountains for quite some time but when unexpected life events arose I knew I wouldn't be able to attend a week long seminar. Instead I found the two people who are hosting it - Mark Maya Photography and Sean Carr Photography were having a local workshop. Since that was more feasible I jumped onboard.
Not exactly sure what to expect I was so stunned and thrilled by the beauty of these two models and their ease towards one another - even being strangers. And all that white! I can't get enough of that contrast.
I was able to take a few "editorial" or "high fashion" shots these girls are amazing at but I made sure to capture their actual essence - forcing them to laugh even if it was almost as hard as getting one of the Queen's Guard to break a smile. Luckily I was able to find a nice mix between the two in this photo set.
I also took this time to play with colors a little differently than how I usually edit going a tad darker than I usually do - and I am digging it. (I hope you do too)
Thanks again to Mark Maya & Sean Carr for setting this all up - I'm going to cherish these portfolio images forever! If you're interested in a Workshop please contact them as they host them pretty regularly.
