10 Years In The Making
The year 2006: NASA launched the first space mission to Pluto, Twitter was created, Green Day was won a Grammy for their song "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," and the world lost James Brown. Also, one of the most influential albums in emo/alternative/modern rock history was released by My Chemical Romance. The Black Parade debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 charts and paved the way to rock stardom for the New Jersey outfit.
Now, just shy of 10 years later and three years post-breakup, the emo-rockers have unleashed a major tease through a single photo and a 30-second video. The video created even more buzz of a possible reunion, with the date 9/23/16. This date is assumed to be some kind of major 10 year anniversary announcement, just a month before the official 10 year anniversary of The Black Parade. The image is what creates the speculation of an anniversary reading "MCRX," assuming the X being roman numeral for 10, this is a clear anniversary hint.
Whether you like this type of music or not, the world's almost 30 former emo kids are all freaking out. For now we just have to wait and if a reunion tour is planned, expect us to be on top of any North Carolina date!
