Jessica & Cristobal - Hillsborough Courthouse Wedding
The cool thing about getting married at the courthouse in Hillsborough is that if you're really really nice and maybe bring some chocolate or pie to the magistrate you may be able to share your nuptials outside! And with so many gorgeous options right beside the courthouse Jessica and Cris chose the giant oak tree as their special spot.
These two met in grad school and have been inseparable ever since. These two are jetsetters, traveling between Cristobal's home country of Spain and America. A friend Facetime'd his family so they could be apart of the big day.
Even though I didn't get to meet them in person until the day I felt like we were fast friends.
They ended the day with BBQ from Hillsborough BBQ company.
My Favorite Details:
Cristobal's lovebird pin - they have a lovebird named "Perica" but also know as "Sicaria" (the hit woman) because she always goes for the jugular.
Jessica's fan was given to her by her sister in law which is a traditional accessory for women in Southern Spanish culture. (Cristobal says it's a survival tool to survive the heat). In Sevilla and all of Southern Spain (Andalucia) the women developed a language with the fans to talk to each other as well as men without making the first move.
For Jessica it reminds her of the two years they lived together in Sevilla and of Cristobal's family, the language, and Flamenco style. And not to forget the Feria de Abril (the April Fair) where people put on big flamenco dresses and dance.
