Jessica & Travis - Roanoke Engagement on the Blue Ridge Parkway

This is one of the coolest stories I will probably ever write on here and no it has nothing to do with Jessica and Travis it has to be with me and Jessica.

I didn’t officially meet Jessica in person until this shoot (even though we had planned to meet 2 years ago at the Say Anything show before it got cancelled) BUT I’ve known who she was for almost 10 years.

You see she has the exact same name as me - Jessica Marie Fowler - that’s right I’m talking FIRST, MIDDLE, AND LAST. How weird is that! And not only that she went to the High School one town down from mine. Needless to say there were multiple instances where people were talking about one of us and thinking it was the other.

Definitely a Freaky Friday situation. So we became friends. First it was Myspace (because I’m old) then we moved to Facebook, and now we’ve been Instagram friends. So when she reached out to me to capture her and Travis’s engagement announcement photos I HAD TO DO IT!

These two showed me around Roanoke and introduced me to an amazing salsa bar after the trekked through the Blue Ridge Parkway, seeing some wildlife (that mole came out of nowhere!) Found some wildflowers, explored some sketchy murder tunnels, and just had a lovely evening before the rain started coming down!

I can’t wait to see where their journey takes them (they’ve been together for 12 years already!)
