Logan & Austen - The Homestead at Zion Wedding - South Carolina Wedding
The day finally arrived and it was calling for an 80% chance of rain. In an instant Logan & Austen’s outdoor wedding seemed like it may not happen in the way they imagined. But miraculously it didn’t rain at all on their wedding day and even though they had made the smart decision of renting a tent we were able to move their arbor out a few feet to still make their dreams come true.
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Logan for several years now and I’ve had the opportunity to watch her grow into a gorgeous young lady with so much grace and love. While I’ve only really known Austen during the few times we’ve done couple sessions together I can tell that he’s completely smitten with her.
During their wedding day Logan incorporated so many amazing little details; but here are some of my favorites.
They shared letters with one another pre-ceremony and Logan’s included the promise ring Austen gave her on their first anniversary
They shared a pre-ceremony prayer with their wedding party
They couldn’t get the unity candle to light correctly, thus a laughing fit began during the ceremony
Logan was able to get a recording of her grandfather giving a prayer at a previous wedding to play at her wedding since he passed away. It was such a touching moment
Logan went barefoot during her portraits (a Logan classic as someone who takes her photos every week)
I also feel super connected to this wedding not just because I was able to capture it but I also helped decorate. I arrived late Friday and stayed up making garland, floral arrangements, and making sure Logan’s day was exactly how she imagined it would be. I was so happy that it all came together and I can’t wait to hear all about it at our next Glamour South shoot!
