Kristy & Lauren - Asheville Engagement Session - Asheville LGBTQ+ Wedding Photographer
One of the highest compliments I’ve ever received came from Lauren when she told me they had traveled all the way from Ohio to get behind my camera and she had planned this proposal weekend based on my availability. Like…. okay…… LOVEEEEEEEEEE.
These two had a private engagement the evening before I headed up the mountain to Asheville and these two definitely went on an adventure with me. We had already decided on a location on the Parkway when the gas shortage hit the east coast. Afraid to kill 3 hours going up and back a mountain I asked a few of my local friends for recommendations and stumbled upon a FREAKING MEADOW, and I don’t think you understand my excitement.
I’ve shamefully read “The Meadow” chapter of Twilight TOO MANY TIMES (lets just say it was a go to when I couldn’t sleep)
I’ve been trying to track down a “valley/meadow” in the AVL area FOR YEARS.
The thing with shooting in Asheville is a lot of places are overcrowded, run a-mock with tourists and other photographers, and with leave no trace, a lot of people aren’t willing to share their secret spots, which is why DON’T ASK ME WHERE THIS IS BECAUSE I’M NOT SHARING!
But needless to say it was beautiful. There were wildflowers and rolling hills, and lots and lots and lots of love. I absolutely adored this session and I can’t wait to take more couples here in the future.
