Chic, Modern Documentary Courthouse Wedding in Wake County with Ashram & Eric

Ashram & Eric met on Tinder and what started out as a casual relationship ended up being the end game. Ashram described their personalities as opposites, from music to movies, to their favorite size of dogs, everything seemed to be a difference in opinion between them. But somehow, the chemistry and the same relationship values ended up being what brought them closer together.

Civil ceremonies are an intimate way to get married without the pressures of societal expectations. You can still include your family members as you can see in the family portraits below, and it’s a wonderful way to save on a ceremony and splurge on everything else. The two most important people that Ashram & Eric wanted to include in their special day were their two boys, Artur and Albert. One is a 2.5 year old and the other was born last November! (The two were so happy to be there and smiled so big for all the photos!)

The entire day was a fun and lively event, and I was able to take them to my favorite parking deck in Raleigh to incorporate the champagne popping pictures they wanted to create with the Raleigh skyline looking as breathtakingly beautiful as them. When people get married at the courthouse, they don’t realize that there are so many great ways to make the event more energetic than just a simple ceremony. There can be champagne sharing on a parking deck, vibrant floral gardens to explore, sweet treats shared as those who love you share sweet memories of you and your new husband or wife.

We walked around the downtown Raleigh area and the couple laughed and shared more of their stories with me. Pastries were shared at Lucette Grace and it was a wonderful way to ring in their new life together as a married couple!
