Bright & Colorful Spring Wedding at Fred Fletcher Park in Raleigh with Anna & Megan

Love is love! Ya'll mean's all. And with all the terrible things happening in the news I want to keep shouting how I have and always will celebrate all couples, showcasing them both on my homepage, in my lives, and on my feed whenever possible.

Megan and Anna met in high school - but it wasn’t love at first site, it was more love at first dream. In school Anna had a dream that her and Megan were dating and that she was her soul mate. Fast forward a few years and they reconnected, started dating, and the rest was history. Megan proposed at the beach but they wanted to take their engagement photos at the site of one of their favorite places and first dates, and a Raleigh institution Cup a Joe. They decided to have a spring wedding at Fred Fletcher Park in Downtown Raleigh. This colorful affair was so joyous, as they were surrounded by their friends and family, all who gave touching speeches during the reception.

Megan & Anna decided to also do a traditional hand fasting ceremony Hand fasting ceremony is an ancient ritual that symbolizes the union of two individuals in a meaningful and profound way. Originating from Celtic traditions, this ceremonial act possesses a timeless allure that continues to captivate couples today. During the hand fasting ceremony, the couple's hands are bound together with a decorative, intricately woven cord, signifying their commitment to one another. It represents the joining of two souls, the intertwining of their fates, and the promise to support and love each other unconditionally. This beautiful and symbolic gesture not only adds depth to the wedding ceremony but also serves as a reminder of the couple's eternal bond, their shared journey through life, and the profound meaning behind their union.

After the ceremony these two danced the night away! I was so thankful for them allowing me to capture their Raleigh wedding.
