Moody, Artistic Maternity Shoot at Lake Crabtree with Jeri-Lynn & Paul
Jeri-Lynn & Paul decided on having some maternity portraits made and for this they wanted to find some way to make it artistic. I might be a little biased when I say I feel we truly pulled it off. Lake Crabtree is always a magical place to photograph whether it be for an engagement shoot, family portraits, or maternity photos. It serves as a beautiful backdrop for all these big moment photos. And often times, when a couple like Jeri-Lynn & Paul want to find a way to incorporate water into their photographs, the Lake does a wonderful job serving that purpose!
Jeri-Lynn & I have been friends on instagram for a long time and so she knows I love to get creative with my work. If you want an alternative momento or a moody moment to be photographed, I am your girl! So when she asked to have a few solo portraits taken and explained her vision, I could not contain my excitement.
The body of a woman is so beautiful, but there is nothing quite like the bump, the curves, and the stretch marks that accompany motherhood. I love when my clients are so proud of what their body is capable of that they are willing to have it memorialized in photographs, much like what Jeri-Lynn showcases below. No spoilers, but the robe, the lighting, the moment, GAH! You just had to be there.
