Museum of Life and Science Wedding in Durham - Arielle & Chris

Slow season is the time when I get to reflect on all the work I’ve done over the year and of course catch up in blogging. This amazing wedding was put together by my amazing bride Arielle, who dreamed up the entire vision for this colorful fall wedding. Although they had planned to get married in 2020 postponing just made it that much better. One of the things I absolutely love about Arielle and Chris is their ability to go with the flow, even when a dangerous, venomous snake invaded their reception space. The whole time they stayed cool as a cucumber.

You might also recognize this wedding because it went viral on Tiktok - 2.5 million views and was reposted al over the internet for their sweet in memorial table. Definitely make sure to scroll through and check out all the little details that went into this wedding because its truly a stunner.

If you’re trying to find Unique Wedding Venues in the Triangle, the Museum of Life and Science is definitely one of them.

Here are my Favorite Unique Wedding Venues in Raleigh/Durham

  1. The Museum of Life & Science - Between the butterfly garden, the dinosaurs, and that epic outdoor ceremony space, what else is there to say? -

  2. The Burning Coal Theater - I absolutely love this all-black theater in the heart of Downtown Raleigh. While I’ve shot two weddings here, I see the potential in the space. From super cool stage setups, to string lights. It’s one of the more unique wedding venues in Raleigh/Durham. - Check it out

  3. The Meadows - If you’re trying to find Unique Wedding Venues in the Triangle, the Museum of Life and Science is definitely one of them. And almost every wedding I shoot there is unique and different because they are able to put their own spin on almost everything. The season also has such an effect on the photos here as well that makes it so unique. Truly one of my favorite venues in the Triangle. - read more here.

  4. The Orpheum - Okay. So this is about an hour outside the Triangle BUT how cool is this place? It’s an actual restored movie theater. That marquee sign alone has me drooling. This place is art deco and I can already imagine a NYE wedding or the most glamorous 20’s party. I mean champagne towers are still a thing right? - Check it out here.
